Hello, I’m Guil 👋
I'm a Software Engineer, Computer Scientist, and Entrepreneur, having 20+ years of experience in the software industry and research projects.
Nowadays I mostly focus on having fun with decentralized tech (i.e., blockchain, public chains). Previously, I worked with Cloud systems, storage, software testing, virtualization, security in embedded systems, networks, and operating systems.
I hold a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from University of Zürich (UZH), supervised by Prof. Burkhard Stiller and co-supervised by Prof. Filip De Turck. If you're curious, I turned my Ph.D. thesis as a book and it's available on Amazon.
I'm an advocate of open source software and I try to contribute as much as I can. Since 2013 I've been involved in the blockchain world — having fun developing some nice and relevant projects.
My first name is Guilherme, which is a bit difficult to pronounce. You can call me “Guil” instead, which is my nickname.
